Google cloud print solution makes yet another printing technology possible. One can send a print command from any network device such as a mobile, tablet, laptop etc. You may print data either from your device storage area or print emails or webpage.

How do you find out if your printer is e-print capable: There should be an e-print logo on the printer control panel. A button or icon might be present in order to indicate the presence of e-print functionality.

How to register printer with Google cloud print:

Before you can start printing with Google cloud print, you need to register your printer with the phone or tablet.

1. Google cloud print registration for HP e-print.

Compatibility:

  • HP e-print enabled printer
  • A computer device running Linux, OS X v10.7 or later, or Windows XP or later.
  • Web browser – Google chrome
  • Gmail account
  • Printer connected to the internet.
  • Power on your printer.
  • Open the browser – chrome.
  • Go to menu bar.
  • Hover through the options to locate ‘settings’.
  • Scroll down and click the ‘advanced settings’.
  • Look for ‘Google Cloud Print’.
  • Click on ‘manage button’.
  • You’ll be taken to a new window where you’ll see printers that have been detected.
  • You’ll see an option called New Devices.
  • Under new devices click on ‘Register’ to confirm.
  • A confirmation page will confirm the registration.
  • But in case your printer is shown under the option ‘My Devices’ then your printer is already registered.

2. Google cloud print registration for non-HP eprint.

Check Compatibility:

  • HP e-print enabled printer
  • A computer device running Linux, OS X v10.7 or later, or Windows XP or later.
  • Web browser – Google chrome
  • Gmail account
  • Printer connected to the internet.
  • Power on your printer.
  • Open the browser – chrome.
  • Go to menu bar.
  • Hover through the options to locate ‘settings’.
  • Scroll down and click the ‘advanced settings’.
  • Look for ‘Google Cloud Print’.
  • Click on ‘manage button’.
  • If your printer is listed under ‘My devices’ then it means your printer is already registered.
  • Now since your printer is registered, you may send a print from your laptop or a mobile device.

It’s time to print

Google cloud print allows you to print data stored in your device and also lets you print online content.

1. Print with Computer device

Follow us to print a document or an image from your Computer:

  • Sign in to your Google account.
  • Go to https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers
  • Go to print option. And then select “Upload file to print”.
  • Select a file from ‘My computer’ and upload the file you want to print.
  • When your file is uploaded, select your printer and click print.
  • Follow us to print an email or a web page from your Computer:
  • Open your web browser chrome. Go to menu and select the option Print.
  • Under destination click the option ‘Change’ and select the printer you want to print from.
  • You may further make required changes in the Print window and then select Print.

2. Print with Android Mobile device

  • First we need to install Cloud Print from Google Play Store.
  • Go to settings.
  • Select more Settings.
  • Click Print.
  • If you could scroll down you’ll see Cloud Print since your app is already been installed on your device. Turn on the app by selecting ‘On’.
  • Now to select a file or an image you can directly move to the location where your file is stored.
  • Or move to the web browser if you need to print an email or a web page.
  • Select the menu icon present on the lower extreme left corner of your device screen.
  • Select Print, and select Google Print.
  • Finally you may select your printer device and make changes to the settings.
  • Give Print to print the required document.
