HP Ink Tank 316 is a three-in-one printer that uses the HP Thermal Inkjet technology to print. Duplex printing, borderless printing, quick copy, and scan are the highlighting features of this printer. The HP Ink tank 316 AIO printer settings are easy to perform. HOW TO COPY

  • First, load the document you want to copy on the printer’s scanner glass.
  • Make sure that the input tray contains enough paper.
  • Press either the Color Copy button or the Black copy button on your printer’s control panel.
  • Now, your printer will start copying the placed document. 
  • If you wish to modify the paper settings while performing the copy operation, then refer to the instructions given below.
  • For Plain paper: Hold down the Color Copy and Black Copy buttons for three seconds.
  • For Photo paper: Press and hold the Color Copy and Black Copy button for three seconds

Set the copy preferences as per your desire.

HOW TO PRINT

Printing from your Mac computer

  • First, make sure that your HP Ink tank AIO printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network.
  • Now, on your Mac computer, open the document you want to print.
  • Go to the Print dialog box.
  • If required, select your printer.
  • Set the print preferences as per your desire.
  • Click the Print button.
  • Now, the selected document will be printed by your printer.

HOW TO SCAN

Scanning from a computer using the HP printer software

  • First, make sure that you have installed the HP Ink Tank 316 printer software on your computer.
  • Now, open the HP printer software on your computer.
  • On your printer’s scanner glass, place the original document you want to scan.
  • Click the Scan button on the printer software screen.
  • Select the Scan a Document or Photo option followed by Scan. Choose either the Save as PDF or Save as JPEG option as the format.
  • Now, your HP printer will start scanning the placed document, and a copy of it will be saved in the selected save format.

  • Open the HP Ink Tank 316 printer driver on your computer.
  • Read and agree to the end-user license agreement of the printer.
  • Choose the software that you wish to install on your computer.
  • Click the Install button when prompted. 
  • Make sure to select the correct connection type.
  • Complete the HP Ink Tank 316 driver settings process by following the on-screen instructions. 
  • Finally, try a test print.

  • As soon as you open the printer driver file, you’ll be prompted to click Yes (Windows) or enter your device password (Mac). 
  • On the Software screen, choose the driver file that you wish to install on your computer.
  • Select the connection type of your desire.

HP INK TANK 316 SCANNING ISSUES

It is quite common for an error to occur while performing the scan operation. The section below explains how to resolve the HP Ink Tank 316 scanning issues. 

  • First, make sure that you have configured the scan operation settings correctly.
  • The easiest way to resolve the scanning issue is to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor diagnostic tool on your computer. This tool automatically detects and resolve printer issues.
  • Download the HP Print & Scan Doctor tool from the printer’s official site. 
  • Install and launch this diagnostic tool on your computer.
  • Click the Scan button.
  • Now, the utility will try to detect the issue and display it on the screen.
  • Click the Fix button to resolve the scanning issue.
  • After clearing the scanning issues, run a test scan.

HP INK TANK 316 PAPER JAM ISSUES

Usually, a paper can jam in any part of the printer. The input tray, output tray, and printhead access area are the common parts where the paper can get jammed easily. To clear the paper jam error, carry out the following instructions.

Removing jammed paper from the input or output tray

  • First, clear the error message displayed on the LCD screen by pressing the Cancel button.
  • Now, gently pull out the jammed paper of the input or output tray. 
  • After removing the jammed paper, press the Resume button.
  • Load the paper in your printer’s input tray and perform a test print.

Removing jammed paper from the printhead access area

  • Press the Cancel button on your HP printer’s control panel.
  • Turn off your printer.
  • Open the front door followed by the printhead access door of your HP printer.
  • Now, gently remove the stuck paper from the printer.
  • After removing the jammed paper, close the printhead access door and the front door of your printer.
  • Turn on the printer and run a test print.

HP INK TANK 316 WIRELESS SETTINGS

  • First, get a USB cable that is compatible with your printer.
  • Make sure to connect your HP printer to the computer only when prompted during the driver installation.
  • Now, open the HP Ink Tank 316 AIO printer driver on your computer. 
  • Perform the on-screen instructions to reach the Select your connection type screen. On this screen, select the USB connection option.
  • When prompted, connect the HP printer to your computer using the USB cable.
  • Complete the HP printer driver installation by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Finally, try a test print to check whether the USB setup is done correctly.
