The HP Officejet 2620 installation settings supports various functions such as print, copy, and scan. The print speed varies with the printer model. The standard connection types supported by the printer are USB, Wi-Fi, and Wired (Ethernet).


Load some paper in the input tray and use the paper guides to align them. Specify the print settings in the printer program that you have installed on your computer and perform printing.


Place your document on the scanner area. Install the HP Smart app and set the required scan settings as per your preference.


Load paper into the input tray and place a document on the scanner glass. Set your copy preferences and press any one of the Start buttons.


Unpack the HP Officejet 2620 printer and check the essential items in the box. Power up the printer and set a language and country/region. Install the cartridges in their slots correctly. Access the official HP website, search for the HP Officejet 2620 printer, and navigate to Software, Drivers, and Firmware. The computer’s OS will be detected automatically. If it is incorrect, change it by clicking Choose a different OS. The Full Feature Software and Driver package is the manufacturer-recommended driver file that contains all the features/functions of the printer. Basic Driver is the additional printer driver.   • You can install the printer driver using the Setup CD.
  • To do this, insert the Setup CD into the computer’s CD drive.

  • If the wizard does not start automatically, you can download and install the driver.
  • You need to download the driver from our site, locate the downloaded setup file, and double-click it. Keep following the installer’s prompts.


Connect a new printer:

    • Windows 8 – Select the All Apps from the Start menu.
    • Windows 7, Vista, and XP – Go to the Start menu and select the All Programs option followed by the HP option. Choose the HP Officejet 2620 printer.
    • Select the Printer Setup & Software option.
    • Click the Connect a new printer option and carry out the on-screen prompts.

    USB connection:

    • Place the printer software CD in the computer’s CD-ROM drive.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts.
    • When you see the Connection Options screen, choose the USB option and establish a connection between the printer and computer using a USB cable.

    Print documents:

    • Open the printer’s output tray.
    • Load enough plain paper in the input tray.
    • Open a document on your computer, navigate to File, and select the Print option.
    • Select the HP Officejet 2620 printer.
  • Select Properties, Preferences, or similar options.
  • Set your print preferences and click the OK option followed by the Print option.
  • Note: You can even print both sides of the document. To do this, select ‘Flip on Long Edge’ or ‘Flip on Short Edge’ from the ‘Print on Both Sides Manually’ drop-down menu.

Print photos:

  • Place the photo paper with its printed side facing up in the input tray.
  • Open the photo to be printed.
  • Click Print -> Properties.
  • Specify the HP Officejet 2620 installation settings and print settings as per your requirement.
  • Select OK -> Print or OK.

Print envelopes:

  • Load the envelope with its print side facing up in the input tray.
  • Align the paper-width guide according to the envelope’s dimension.
  • Launch the printer software, set your preferences, and click Print.


Jammed paper in the input tray:

  • Hold the jammed paper tightly and pull it out from the input tray.
  • Press OK to resume the print job.

Jammed paper in the output tray:

  • Open the printer’s output tray and remove the jammed paper.
  • Jammed paper in the cartridge access area:
  • Lower the cartridge access door.
  • Move the print carriage and pull the jammed paper out from the cartridge access area.
  • Resume the print job by pressing OK on the control panel.


Clean the scanner area:

  • Raise the scanner unit.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with glass cleaner to wipe the scanner glass.

Power Reset the printer:

  • With the HP printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • After 60 seconds, connect the power cord again.

Scan settings:

Customize the scan settings to increase resolution, adjust the color palette, or increase the contrast in the HP Printer Assistant (Windows) or HP Easy Scan (Mac).
